In busy Southern California, the task of scheduling for the week ahead can be intimidating. And, when you are trying to work out consistently, it can be even tougher to add fitness to your calendar with all of your other commitments. Rest assured that it is absolutely possible to fit your workouts in. When you sit down with your calendar at the beginning of each workweek, here are a couple steps to take to cement your fitness success:
Consult Your Goals
If you know where you want to go on your fitness journey, that idea will drive your workout schedule. If you haven’t already, take a few minutes to sit down and pick an overarching goal for your fitness. It doesn’t have to be a long-term goal, and it could be as simple as “to work out consistently.” You can also check in with a personal trainer in Irvine to find potential goals that are reasonable for your current level of fitness. Once you have your goal in mind, you can determine how you need to approach your workout schedule in order to meet your goal. For example, the goal of running a half marathon and the goal of bench pressing 300 lbs will require dramatically different workout plans. That said, start with your specific goal and build your workout plan once you know what you want to achieve.

Consider Your Calendar (And the Forecast)
Your schedule is going to govern your availability for workouts as well as how you feel. Try to plan your workouts in a way that fits well with your schedule this week. If you need to get in an outside workout, check the forecast while you schedule your workouts. If you are planning to be working out indoors or going to a bootcamp in Orange County, then the forecast may not impact your workout plans too much. If you expect to have a stressful meeting on Wednesday, you may really want to blow off steam afterwards. In this case, scheduling a challenging workout session may be a great way to blow off that steam. On the other hand, if you know that a stressful meeting will leave you wanting to relax, schedule a rest day. By making sure that your workouts fit with your weekly schedule, you’ll set yourself up for success that feels natural.
Workout your full body
Now to do workouts for maximum impact. Everyone needs to workout their fully body. Everyone needs to do their arms, shoulders, legs, abs and back.
